Follow these steps to view videos in Windows Media Player:

 

1.  Go to start/settings/control panel.

2.  Double click on folder options.

3.  Using the file types tab, choose AVI files.

4.  Look at the details for AVI extension at the bottom of the screen.  Choose open with Windows Media Player .
